Kaia FIT Sunrise: Diane S
I’ve been wanting to write about my Kaia experience for quite a while. As my one year anniversary with Kaia approaches, this seems like the perfect time.
Toward the end of 2014 I was mildly depressed, unhappy with my health and appearance, and looking for a change. In high school I was an athlete and played volleyball, softball, and ran track. After graduating college and starting my career as an elementary school teacher, I tried to stay active but found that I let life get in the way. A husband and three kids later, making time for myself and getting to the gym regularly seemed impossible. I had seen mention of Kaia on Facebook and knew a few girlfriends who loved it, so I thought I would give it a try.
I took my first class on New Year’s Eve, 2014. I had already signed up for the upcoming Brik session, but figured I should get a preview of what I had gotten myself in to. I left that class exhausted and exhilarated. Over the next few weeks, I worked harder than I thought I could. I was supported by amazing Kaia coaches and Kaia girls who cheered and congratulated my successes and inspired me to be better.
In May of 2015, my second Brik session was beginning. I took a moment to compare my numbers from my first Brik when I joined Kaia in January just 5 months before. I had lost 18.5 pounds, lost inches, and had gained a strength I never knew was possible. I was physically stronger, but even more importantly I was mentally and emotionally stronger. Kaia was the perfect experience at the perfect time and made a huge impact on my life.
I can’t imagine my life without Kaia. I look forward to the workouts and nutrition tips to keep me healthy, and I love the coaches and Kaia girls who keep me sane. I now have aspirations to become a Kaia coach and help to support and inspire other women the way that I have been supported and inspired by the coaches and women of Kaia. This journey has been truly life-changing and I have been so blessed to be a part of Kaia FIT SSC!
